Asus Radeon R9 390 Strix OC 8GB Overclocking Results
AMD's R9 390 GPU has a fairly consistent overclocking range of approximately 1,075~1,150MHz on the GPU core and 1,650~1,750MHz on the memory so we weren't at all surprised to find the Asus model top out at 1,100MHz on the core and 1,700MHz on the memory. Compared to Asus factory speeds of 1,070MHz core and 1,500MHz memory the final overclock represents a miserly 3 percent increase in GPU core clock speed and 13 percent increase in memory frequency. Performance gains from overclocking are modest, approximately 5 percent depending on the game, so prospective buyers shouldn't expect too much in the way of overclocking headroom.
